Today's big goal was to go to the agency and get our codice fiscale cards or number or whatever it is. We woke up early with the seminary kids and got ready for the day. We left before 7 a.m. to travel to Rome. We got to the agency building, and by then, there were already many people outside waiting, so we joined in the crowd. When the office opened, we waited in line for our turn and were given numbers to wait to be called. I was called to a desk first, and then Brian was called right after me. I was sitting with the lady who did not speak English, and I tried to pretend to know what she was talking about. Hopefully she was saying that the card will be sent to one of the addresses on the form. It was a very simple process. Brian went to his desk number and the man realized that Brian already had a codice fiscale from when he was a missionary. We now have two forms with our numbers and an official stamp this allows us to rent an apartment or purchase a cell phone. It was a good step forward. 
We then got back on the bus and went to the USO in Rome near the Vatican. It was a nice office, and we got some information from the gentleman about where to go to the beach and what day to visit the Vatican. We then tried to walk to a pizza place that he recommended, but it was pouring rain and the place was not open for another 30 minutes. We headed back to the bus and avoided a lot of rain. We stopped for some pizza and arancini at the basement pizza place at the apartment and ate some delicious pizza before going up to the kids. We fed them some bread and jam and then walked to the Chinese markets. These are basically shops that are packed with just about everything you could need. We found a couple things for Courtney, and Brian found some tools. He's going to fix the shelf in the bathroom. We walked back to the apartment, and I realized that I had left the key to the apartment inside the apartment! We contacted our host, and she said she left work early, so we didn't have to wait too long for her to open the door. That was a big blessing.
We made some phone calls and did some work on the computer and then we took Hailey and Courtney up to the Porta di Roma mall. We were looking for some clothes for the girls but were unsuccessful. We did do some grocery shopping and picked up some gelato on the way home from our favorite place on Conca d'Oro. We even brought some home for the boys. I talked to Sydney and Becky tonight on Facebook video; that was fun. Sydney is feeling better, and Becky is excited to quit her job at the pizza place and start working on her massage energy work. We had some soup and salad and gelato for dinner. We are trying to determine what our next step is either staying here in Rome or going over to the military bases. But at least today we made a step forward.
