Today we left the apartment around 730am to head towards the train station at the Rome terminal. We had to get some tickets for the bus before we headed out. We took the bus to the train station and only had a few minutes to get our train tickets and get to the platform. We were so blessed to get on the right train 30 seconds before it left. There is only one train every hour that leaves to go to Anzio and the southern area. We had an enjoyable train ride and we're able to see different parts the countryside.
We arrived at the Anzio station and walk towards the beach. We found a nice beach that was pretty much deserted except for a few people walking, and so the kids had a wonderful time playing in the water and on the beach with plenty of room to play and have fun. The water was a bit chilly but it it didn't seem to bother them. Preston was in heaven!Brian went to a grocery store and had them make each of us a sandwich of prosciutto crudo and provolone. A very typical sandwich for the Italians; he also got it each a bottle of juice. We enjoyed the sun shine and a break from the school work and our other duties. Brian met a friend picking up trash on the beach. He was speaking in a dialect language initially, but then Brian was able to talk to him in Italian. They talked about everything from philosophy to the church to picking up trash. They talked about space and microscopes, telescopes and atoms. Brian makes friends wherever he goes.

After a few hours we walked back to the train station to catch the train back to the Rome terminal. Then we rode the bus back to her apartment to prepare for the missionaries coming over for dinner. We had to get a few things from the grocery store and the missionaries were able to come over early because one of their appointments cancel. We enjoyed healthy soup and rolls and salad with sister Decker and Sister Sullivan. We then had a lesson about listening to the Holy Ghost. We played a game where one person was holding a coin and everyone slapped their hands down on the table, and you had to try to listen for the who had the coin in their hand. It was hard to hear it. We then took the sisters to the gelato place and they were able to talk to Andrea about the English class and leave some information for Daniele. We enjoyed our time with the sister missionaries and hope that they feel loved and supported.
