I was lucky to have Brian with us for Valentine's Day. But that did mean that his team from LA were away from their families so we had them over for a Special Valentine's Dinner. Brian is a fabulous chef to begin with, but when he makes Thai food...oh my goodness!!
He says the secret to his Thai Pineapple Curry is molasses. When he was learning to cook Thai food there was a special sauce that he got to add to the recipe and when he tried it, it tasted just like molasses. It was such a good dinner, we ate the leftovers for breakfast the next morning.
Our guests brought an ice cream cake for dessert, but they didn't have any Valentine cakes so they got a birthday cake and put the kids names on it. We put some candles on the cake and sang "Happy Valentine's to you". We had such a fun and memorable evening together. A couple days later, Courtney mentioned "Dad's bosses are so fun for kids."
