We have lots and lots of boxes around our house. We have been putting out the empty ones for the garbage man for two weeks now but it seems like if you have one in the house, it calls all the box friends he has to join him for a party in our house.
#2 - Static Electricity
It's making me crazy! You can't touch anything without shocking yourself and probably someone else too. Last night Brian was rubbing his feet on the carpet while holding a light bulb and kept making it spark. Always a party!
#3 - Golden Corral Employee
Susanne got a job this week and has already started working at Golden Corral! She will be working "the line" where they get your drinks and total your meal. She's really excited about it and we're very happy for her!
#4 - Freezing Cold Weather
I got a really cheap window thermometer just so we could see what the temp is outside. The rule in our house is no California clothes (shorts, flip flops, etc.) unless it is at least 50 degrees outside! It hasn't been even close lately. That doesn't stop Courtney from getting bundled up and going outside to play almost everyday. She just walks around the backyard and kicks the snow and finds icicles. She enjoys making footprints.
#5 - Two Piano Students
Yep, we found a piano teacher for both girls. The teacher is very accomplished and so we're paying more than we're used to, but if we can give our kids an understanding and hopefully love of music we will be blessing their lives for years to come.
